IntoJobs Gladstone was recognised for its outstanding contributions to the local community at the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Best in Business Awards on November 2.
The organisation was a Top-5 finalist for the Professional Services award, highlighting its significant impact on the local employment sector.
“We were thrilled to be nominated for the Professional Services award. The Best in Business awards are a major event in Gladstone, celebrating the growth and success of both businesses and individuals. This nomination is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication,” IntoJobs Gladstone Site Leader Tracy Cruickshank said.
“IntoJob extends our congratulations to Chamberlain Road Veterinary Clinic for their win and acknowledges the achievements of all the finalists In the Professional Services category,” she added.
Since its inception in 2022, IntoJobs Gladstone has rapidly become a key player in the local employment scene. In just one year, the team has achieved impressive milestones, including placing more than 400 participants into jobs, traveling over 300,000 km to reach remote locations like Wandoan, and making significant financial contributions in transport support and accredited training to enhance participants’ skills.
“It’s fantastic to see our team’s efforts being recognised. We’re a small but mighty group, committed to building and establishing pathways for people in our
community.”
Under Tracy’s leadership, IntoJobs has implemented innovative programs in collaboration with local organisations such as Cogsy and Deploy. These initiatives aim to create viable employment pathways and address the diverse needs of the community, resulting in a significant impact on many lives.
“We’ve seen people overcome serious drug addiction to secure stable, long-term employment. We’re helping people upskill and obtain entry-level jobs whe
n they never thought they would work a day in their life. We’ve established effective youth programs for early school leavers who felt they lacked a sense of direction, helping them identify their strengths and create tailored pathways for them. We listen to what they need and want, and we make it happen,” Tracy said.
IntoJobs’ unique approach involves mobile consultants to meet participants in a comfortable community environment, “Our tailored, mobile approach is what makes us stand out. We’re all about helping people, and our team is genuinely passionate about making a difference. This nomination is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate our successes and look forward to making an even greater impact in the future.”

Tracy was also recognised in the awards, making it as a top-25 finalist in the Business Leader category. Tracy, who is originally from New Zealand, started her career as an Employment Consultant prior to joining IntoJobs as a Mobile Employment Consultant and then rising as Site Leader.
In her current role, she uses her extensive experience in employment services to further IntoJobs’ mission of ‘Local Jobs for Local People’, “I love that IntoJobs is all about the people. I enjoy mentoring the team, helping them become the best versions of themselves and serving our community with integrity and respect,” she said.
