Tailored Support Drives Eli’s Career Forward With IntoJobs

Cranbourne resident Eli Eriwata was ready for a career change. With a background in security technology, factory work, and hospitality, Eli had gained a wide range of experience but felt it was time to pursue a new direction.

He was particularly drawn to the automotive industry, knowing it was where he wanted to focus his future efforts.

His life took a positive turn when he discovered IntoJobs, part of the IntoWork Group, and was referred to the Launch into Work VACC program, a four-week course designed to prepare eligible participants for specific entry-level roles within the automotive industry.

Through the program, Eli was introduced to several prospective employers and was ultimately placed at Glen Waverley Toyota as an auto mechanic trainee. He started in February and is thoroughly enjoying his new role, “I’ve always liked working with cars, so the fact that I’m getting paid to do it now is awesome,” Eli said.

Eli found the overall support from IntoJobs to be positive, “Everyone I worked with was really nice and genuinely cared about my career goals. The team was always there to help me navigate through finding the right job for me,” he said.

IntoJobs also provided financial assistance in the form of fuel and grocery vouchers, which helped Eli focus on his new role without financial stress. “They sent me fuel vouchers and grocery vouchers, and that’s been incredibly helpful,” Eli added.

IntoJobs Narre Warren Site Leader Masooda Noori is thrilled with Eli’s progress. “Eli is thriving, and his performance has been outstanding. We are excited to take his 12-week outcome this month, and we are confident that he will continue to excel and grow in his career,” she said.

“What truly stands out is how we were able to tailor our services to find a role that matched his interests and skills. This shows that with the right support and a bit of creativity, we can help individuals achieve their dreams,” Masooda added.
